„Nicht nur das Erleben der Herstellungsprozesse, sondern auch das Entdecken, Erforschen und Einsetzen textiler Materialien und Techniken zum Zweck künstlerischen Ausdrucks – sind Antrieb meiner Arbeit“.

Mein künstlerischer Werdegang wird inhaltlich stark beeinflusst durch die Migrationsgeschichte meiner Familie und das Pendeln zwischen Uruguay und Deutschland, einem Leben zwischen zwei Mentalitäten, zwei Welten.

Regelmäßig Beteilige ich mich an Internationalen Textilkunst Biennalen.

2009 erhielt ich den 1. Preis für die Arbeit „Bewahren“, bei der 5. Bienal Internacional de Arte Textil, WTA, in Buenos Aires, Argentinien

2017 war ich als Gastkünstlerin mit der Installation „ „lo obvio y lo escondido“, bei der  VII. Bienal Internacional de Arte Textil Contemporáneo WTA,  Montevideo, Uruguay, eingeladen.

Als Künstlerin, Dozentin und Kuratorin ist es mir ein großes Anliegen, nicht nur mein Wissen weiter zu geben, sondern auch die Textilkunst, in der Welt der Kunst,  aus der „Handarbeits- und Bastelecke“ zu holen. Die Organisation von Ausstellungen, Workshops im In-und Ausland  und einzelne Projekte sind Teil dieses Bemühens.

As an artist, lecturer and curator, it is a great concern of mine not only to pass on my knowledge, but also to take textile art, in the world of art, out of the „handicraft and craft corner“. The organisation of exhibitions, workshops at home and abroad and individual projects are part of this endeavour.

„No sólo vivir los procesos de creación, sino también descubrir, investigar y utilizar los materiales y técnicas textiles para la expresión artística – son la fuerza impulsora de mi trabajo.

Como artista, docente y curadora, me es muy importante no sólo transmitir mis conocimientos, sino también sacar el arte textil del „rincón de la manualidad y la artesanía“ en el mundo del arte.

La organización de exposiciones, talleres en el país y en el extranjero y proyectos individuales forman parte de este esfuerzo.
